State of California Licensed
In order to meet the requirements of the State of California Board
of Cosmetology, I completed 600 hours of training. Areas of Study
included skin, skin disorders, as well skin trauma and recovery. Study
of the origins and structure of the hair, from the hair shaft to the
substructures of the follicle in which it is housed are part of the
curriculum. Course work in electricity, electronics and their interaction
with the skin during the process was also covered. This training also
involved extensive practical hands-on techniques with various
clients
who appear for work. Following the school, I then returned
and held group discussions on techniques and machine settings as well
as informational presentations on dealing with clients. Also I spent
a great deal of time researching various sources in preparation for
writing text for hairzapper.com’s first website
I have had many opportunities to use any one of a number of types
of power in the process of killing hair. By the time I had finished
school, I had worked on some of the most difficult and challenging
cases that I could find. I could not go limp on this, it was my future.
In school I experimented on myself exhaustively with every type of
machine
and setting that I could define. As a client who had
approximately 400 hours of work done on me, I learned a great deal
from both ends of that needle that has helped me to this day. I have
rarely given in to demands for "FLASH THERMOLYSIS" on clients,
but, in fact, I had worked with the process extensively, in its use
for small "peach fuzzies" on the upper lip of my latin classmates
who were thrilled that so much could be done so easily. However, I
found that this process was not capable of permanence as well as the
Blend and Galvanic methodologies. I also found that repeated trials
on deep facial hair yielded dismal results.
I left school a firm believer in multi-needle galvanic, but it only
took about 2 months to realize that while the 16 channel concept was
good, the design left a lot to be desired at the needle end where
the tangle of wires and the movement of the patient were a constant
annoyance. I found that claims of 900 hairs per hour were difficult
to substantiate.
From 1994 until 2000, I favored high galvanic low thermolysis, single
needle style of blend electrolysis. It worked well and a lot of hairs
died under that deadly needle. Since 2000, I have undertaken to improve
various aspects of galvanic operation. Galvanic continued to prove
far superior to any other method and in 2000, I dropped thermolysis
from my practice. Please read my section on Galvanic electrolysis
for more information.

12 years and over 15,000 hours of working experience with particularly
difficult hair cases
In over 15,000 hours of working experience with difficult hair,
I have cleared numerous faces without any marks, scars or premature
aging. Not one client who ever started with me has had the need for
dermabrasion or laser-peel. Their skin remains as flawless as if there
had never been hair in the first place. I think it is worth noting
here that my work has even drawn rave reviews from well-known plastic
surgeons who formerly referred clients to a flash thermolysis operator.
Needless to say, my genital clearings have also drawn kudos from almost
every major SRS surgeon in the business.
Today, my clientele possesses a wide variety of hair problems and
literally, there is no place that hair can grow that I have not
gone. My reputation is growing nicely with people from all nationalities
and backgrounds seeking treatments.

25 years experience in electrical, power, and communications fields
For 25 years, I wired things, made them run and saw them light
up, From residential/commercial electrical work, to automotive, to
telephone and sound system work, it was difficult to find that my
own transition had become a threat to my livelihood, much less, my
sense of achievement.
BUT, I want to go on to say here that I have never stopped saying
a silent "thank you" to those powers and those clients
who have offered me a chance to do what I do so well. Some of my
triumphs have been far greater than anything I would have thought
possible. During my darkest days in 1992, I wondered how I would
ever survive all of this. Today, I have a professional reputation
that I cherish, a home in Santa Clara, and friends and clients from
all over the world.
